Hey!

Until I completed high school, I grew up in a small industrial town called Neyveli, which is about 200 kilometers south of Madras (Chennai, India. Not Madras, Oregon!). Dad was an engineer with the only game in town--NLC. K-12 was at Jawahar Higher Secondary School (JHSS), which provided me with a fantastic foundation.

I then went to Coimbatore, where I earned my undergraduate degree in electrical engineering. Didn't care for the college nor for engineering. Spent short stints at HRL, Adyar Park, and Indian Oxygen, before coming to USC for graduate studies.

Lived and worked in Bakersfield for a long time. Am now a faculty member at Western Oregon University

Yes, you can find me at Twitter, at Facebook, and on Google+ too

Disclaimer

In this blog, I use quite a bit of materials from other sources. Including charts, cartoons, videos. To a large extent, I am systematic about making sure the reader immediately knows that these are not mine. The good thing is that most graphics, cartoons in particular, have the copyright information embedded in them, which makes it convenient for me when blogging.

Now, if you want to use any of my original writings or photos, I don't care what you do with them--as long as they are not monetized. If you make money from what I have here, then please pass along some to me.
