Yankee Doodle Mouse is a classic -- one of my favorite episodes of my most-favorite-ever cartoon. So many clever details.
I think the best Tom & Jerrys are the old ones produced (like this one) by Fred Quimby.
In the show's final years, the drawing was more crude, the characters weren't as cute, and there weren't as many delightful gags tucked into them. But even those, I like.
