Irving Berlin: What'll I do

A year or so ago, I watched a PBS program on Irving Berlin, and I was absolutely impressed with the man. I mean, I was familiar with a few--very few--of his works. That is all. I had no idea about Berlin as a person, as an American, as a Jew, as an immigrant, .... and it was just awesome. I think it is truly an American story that an immigrant Jew would be the composer for very many beloved songs, like God Bless America, White Christmas, ....
