It is a happy song, like Sara felt it to be. Happiness comes in many forms, my friend. I blame my sister for the keen interest in old Hindi movie songs--she used to listen to Binaca Geet Mala and I got hooked on to the melodies ...

I don't know why you folks are so afraid of the "D" word and certain authors. If you read those Russian authors, you will dread "Death" way less and even start to joke about it ;)

I am always happy to wake up for a very particular purpose, Mike--to drink coffee ;)Sriram Khéhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06724218458246880137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27946614.post-22772502429128085682016-03-13T22:18:01.172-07:002016-03-13T22:18:01.172-07:00Happiness is the meaning many people are told to s...Happiness is the meaning many people are told to seek, unfortunately. You can see it when people line up to buy an Apple product or buy lottery tickets; they want the happiness that never lasts, but will satisfy them for now. From my understanding of psychology (I'm not a psychologist, not even close) there's a sort of "happiness equilibrium" that people balance out to. It's based on brain chemistry and studies have found that both people who have become wealthy and people who lose the use of their limbs, when tested, are just as happy before the change as after.

Find a purpose. Remind yourself of that purpose every day, and stay happy forever knowing that you wake up every morning for a reason.Mike Hothnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27946614.post-12728173639012914822016-03-13T19:17:35.748-07:002016-03-13T19:17:35.748-07:00Nice post. Meaning and happiness can go hand in hand, as you wrote about recently. Sometimes we have one without the other. Let's celebrate it all.

Two in a row without the dreaded D---- word or mention of certain writers. I like this trend.Anne in Salemnoreply@blogger.com
